Is Capital Gains Tax Levied on Gold and Silver? - No, as Nevada does not impose an income tax.
Do the State's Laws Allow for a State Bullion Depository? - No.
Does the State Hold Gold and Silver Reserves? - No.

Northwest Territorial Mint, founded in 1984 and previously based in Washington State, is now located in Nevada. They produce silver, gold, palladium, and platinum rounds and bars. NWT also mints custom awards and medallions for military, corporate, government, and private clients.
More than 4,000 products can be found in their online store. They mint Pan American Silver bullion, which carries a silver hammer logo, as well as other silver bullion rounds in half-ounce and one-ounce sizes, and silver bars from 5 grams to 100 ounces.
US Mint, Carson City
As a result of silver mining activities in Nevada, the U.S. Mint opened a facility in Carson City in 1863. It mainly produced silver coinage, including dimes, twenty-cent pieces, quarters, half dollars, and dollars.
The Carson City Mint also minted gold coins including $5, $10, and $20 denominations. The mint closed in 1885, resumed operation in 1889, and closed for good in 1893. Today, gold and silver coins minted here remain especially popular with Nevada buyers who enjoy this local connection.
