Sales Tax Laws on Gold and Silver - Title 12, Chapter 36 of the South Carolina Code of Laws stats that a sales tax exemption applies to gold, silver, and platinum bullion (or any combination of the three); legal tender coins of U.S. or other jurisdiction; and currency.

Is Capital Gains Tax Levied on Gold and Silver? - Yes.

Do the State's Laws Allow for a State Bullion Depository? - No.

Does the State Hold Gold and Silver Reserves? - No.

Does the State Hold Physical Gold and/or Silver in Government Pension Funds? - No.
